I want to submit my paper to Journal of Accounting, Finance and Auditing Studies (JAFAS), does it fall within the scope of the journal?

Answer: JAFAS publishes research paper in the field of Accounting Practies, International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Cost Accounting, Professional Ethics, Accountancy, Strategic Costing Systems, Auditing, International Auditing Standards, Auditing and Assurance Standards, Corporate Governance, Tax Practices, Banking and Finance, Financial Markets, Behavioral Finance and Other Studies Related to Accounting, Finance and Auditing.

Is JAFAS an indexed journal?

Answer:JAFAS is indexed with and included in International Scientific Indexing (ISI), Open Academic Journals Index (OAJI), Research Bible, Eurasian Scientific Journal Index (ESJI), Scientific Indexing Services (SIS)

Is this journal a refereed journal?

Answer:Yes, JAFAS is a refereed journal. It follows double blind review process.

Is this journal published both in print and online versions?

Answer:No, JAFAS is published only online versions.

Is JAFAS an open-access journal? 

Answer:Yes, JAFAS publishes all articles under the open access model, defined under Budapest, Berlin and Bethesda open access declarations. The full content of the articles published by JAFAS is freely available for anyone to read, download, print, use, re-use and build upon. The published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction, free of charge, in any medium, provided that the original author(s) and original Publisher are given due credit. The copyright of the published work is retained by the authors. JAFAS will always provide free access to all the articles published without any obligations or restrictions, to all readers, in any part of the world.

What type of paper does JAFAS publish?

Answer:JAFAS publishes original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies, empirical research, technical notes, and book reviews.

Does JAFAS publish special issue?

Answer:No.

Who is the publisher of JAFAS?

Answer:JAFAS is run by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ahmet GÖKGÖZ, Yalova University, Turkey.

I want to submit may paper to JAFAS, how should I submit it?

Answer:You can submit your paper to the editor through e-mail at editor@jafas.org

Does JAFAS have ‘manuscript submission guidelines’?

Answer:Yes, JAFAS has its own manuscript submission guidelines. Author(s) are advised to follow the Author Guidelines in preparing the manuscript before submission.

Is there any page limit of the paper?

Answer:There is no word/page limit in a paper, but the paper should not exceed 25 pages (12 fonts, Cambria Style font).

How much time does JAFAS take in review process?

Answer:The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of the paper, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum three weeks.

Does JAFAS require any publication fee?

Answer:Fee is not requested from the authors for the articles to be reviewed.

What is the acceptance rate of papers?

Answer:30% –40%.

Can I submit more than one paper for the same issue?

Answer:Yes, you can submit more than one paper at a time. 

I want to know about the copyright policy of JAFAS.

Answer:Copyrights for articles published in JAFAS are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. It is the author’s responsibility to bring an infringement action if so desired by the author.

I want to join the review team of JAFAS. How can I become an honorable reviewer of JAFAS?

Answer:If you are interested to be an honorable reviewer, send CV to the editor at editor@jafas.org

What is the frequency of publication of JAFAS?

Answer:JAFAS is published quarterly in January, April, July and October. 

When I will get the acceptance letter, if my paper is accepted?

Answer:If the paper is accepted by the reviewers, acceptance letter will be provided. It takes maximum 24 hours.

Does JAFAS have ‘Plagiarism Policy’?

Answer:Yes, JAFAS will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript –before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive-that is, if at least 25% of the original submission is plagiarized-the article may be rejected and the author’s institution/employer notified. Every manuscript submitted for publication is checked for plagiarism after submission and before being sent to an editor for editorial review. JAFAS uses iThenticate to detect instances of overlapping and similar text in submitted manuscript.
